Project diversity with tantalum focus
Switch Metals is the largest holder of coltan (tantalum and niobium) and lithium licences in Côte d’Ivoire with over 3,000 km2 including our licence applications.
We have secured 100% control of our three key projects, namely ISSIA, TIASSALE, and BOUAKE.
All projects have favourable road access, infrastructure in place and cover historically documented occurrences of coltan (tantalum, niobium) or lithium.
Our flagship project is the ISSIA coltan project, where we were granted a 112 km² licence in March 2023, with additional licence applications covering 904 km². ISSIA features both shallow placer deposits and hard rock coltan discoveries with early cashflow potential.
TIASSALE is a lithium spodumene project, covering 990 km² across three licences, provides exploration upside, with historically identified spodumene in outcrops.
BOUAKE offers additional exploration potential for coltan with a first 370 km² licence granted in July 2023 and further 794 km² under application. BOUAKE has multiple unexplored pegmatite occurrences and past findings of coltan and associated rare earth minerals, such as monazite and xenotime, in pan concentrates.
